Built from the Trade – My Story
I’ve been in the motor trade since I was 16 — a time-served main dealer mechanic. Later, I spent five years as a car trader (and hated it). So I got out of the game and rode the early Internet wave, became a computer programmer, and was one of the first to sell online in the UK.
After 12 years of packing internet orders in a warehouse for up to 10 hours a day, I’d lost sight of what I loved — programming. I went back into the car world, this time as a salesman, which led me to become a dealership manager.
Now, thanks to AI, I’ve rediscovered my passion for building tools that solve real problems. MotorVert started as a way to fix the painful job of writing car adverts. But it’s grown into something much bigger — a full system to help dealers sell more cars.
